Come eat and be merry YA style with the first in a new programming series from Austin SCBWI.
At the Lunch Social, members can meet other writers and illustrators, chat and support each other. Some Lunch Socials will include a Featured Author or Illustrator who's published and can help answer your questions.
Our first Lunch Social will be for YA writers and feature Cynthia Leitich Smith and Ashley Hope Pérez. Read their bios below. Ashley is in Austin to launch her newest book, Out of Darkness, and will be doing a signing at BookPeople at 7pm on Jan. 8 and teaching a class on plotting at The Writing Barn on Jan. 10. Make sure you don't miss her.
Attendees are responsible for the cost of their lunch. Please RSVP below by Jan. 7 so we can reserve a big enough table. Make sure you're logged into our website to RSVP.
