Picture books! A few hundred words, dolled up with pictures, aimed at the youngest of the young — obviously simple, right? Then why are they so hard to sell? Let's talk about the subtleties that make a picture book manuscript worthy of becoming a book. There will be a lecture, a couple of interactive brain-storming activities, and plenty of time for Q&A. Join us!
Liz Garton Scanlon is the author of numerous beloved books for young people, including the highly-acclaimed, Caldecott-honored picture book All the World, illustrated by Marla Frazee, and her debut novel for middle grade readers, The Great Good Summer.
