In this talk, Jason June (author of WHOBERT WHOVER, OWL DETECTIVE and the forthcoming PORCUPINE CUPID) goes over those tedious bits of text that picture book authors the world over dread: illustration notes.
When is an illustration note necessary? How often is too often to include an illustration note? Will illustrators think I’m a horrible bossy pants if I include them? Giving examples from his own writing (which has included unseemly amounts of illustration notes that nobody wanted to strangle him over), Jason will go over when and where illustration notes should be included.
[Illus. Note: Jason beckons a group of SCBWI members to join him at this event!]
The monthly meeting will be immediately followed by an Open Critique Group for SCBWI members.
