Have you wondered what it’s like to have your book made into a movie? Or want to know more about writing an award-winning mystery series? Maybe you’d like insight on the publishing industry from someone who has published more than 30 novels?

Bring your questions for award-winning and prolific author Wendelin Van Draanen who will share her insights on craft and publishing books for young readers.

Wendelin Van Draanen is the bestselling author of more than thirty novels, including the long-running Edgar-winning Sammy Keyes mystery series, all published by Knopf/RandomHouse. Her books have won many award, are sold around the world, and her novel Flipped—named a Top 100 Children’s Novel for the 21st Century by SLJ—became a Warner Brothers feature film.

Her first non-fiction book, Hope in the Mail, Reflections on Writing and Life, is part memoir, part craft guide, and part publishing insight, suitable for teen and adult audiences, especially those who want to write. Find more info at
