Monthly Meeting: Hidden Gems: Digging Resources for Historical Fiction and Nonfiction Writing with Author Alda P. Dobbs

Whether a family story is the backdrop to your novel or the focus of the story itself, in this meeting author Adla P. Dobbs will go over the tools that helped her research a family story that inspired her debut novel BAREFOOT DREAMS OF PETRA LUNA. Dobbs will go over the resources that allowed her to find photographs, narratives, and data, and she will also share tips on ways to merge it all seamlessly into your novel.

Alda P. Dobbs is the author of the upcoming novel BAREFOOT DREAMS OF PETRA LUNA. She was born in a small town in northern Mexico but moved to San Antonio, Texas, as a child. Alda studied physics and worked as an engineer before pursuing her love of storytelling. She’s as passionate about connecting children to their past, their communities, different cultures and nature as she is about writing.
