Come eat and talk books and writing with Austin SCBWI!

At the Lunch Social, members can meet other writers and illustrators, chat and support each other.

Jessica Lee Anderson

This Lunch Social will be for novelists and feature Jessica Lee Anderson. Her most recent book, Uncertain Summer, is the July/August selection for Austin’s MG Book Club.

Attendees are responsible for the cost of their lunch. Please RSVP below by July 20 so we can reserve a big enough table.

Jessica Lee Anderson is the author of Trudy (winner of the 2005 Milkweed Prize for Children’s Literature), Border Crossing (Quick Picks Nomination, Cynsational Book of 2009), as well as Calli (2013 Rainbow List Final Nomination, 2011 YALSA’s Readers’ Choice Booklist Nomination). She’s published multiple chapter books for Rourke Educational Media to include such titles as Brownies with Benjamin Franklin, Case of Foul Play on a School Day, and Runaway Robot. She’s published fiction and nonfiction with Heinemann, Pearson, Seedling Publications, Six Red Marbles, and a variety of magazines including Highlights for Children.

Jessica graduated from Hollins University with a Master of Arts in Children’s Literature, and previously instructed at the Institute of Children’s Literature and St. Edward’s University. She lives near Austin, Texas with her husband, daughter, and two crazy dogs.
