New Permanent Online Critique Group Option

Introducing a new flexible online critique group option for members of Austin SCBWI.

Can’t make it to a ZOOM meeting or regularly scheduled critique group? No problem. The Austin SCBWI Blueboard Critique Group will take place the full third weekend of every month.

Want to know more? Read the FAQ below, then visit the critique group page to get signed up.

Q: How is the new Blueboard group different from the ZOOM meetings other critique groups are setting up?

A: While ZOOM meetings take place at a specific, limited time (typically as long as regularly scheduled critique groups), the Blueboard group will allow uploading over an entire month and critiquing over an entire weekend. Too busy with work or kids till 9pm? You can now write your critiques at 11pm. Or 3am. Or whenever you have a spare minute! It’s text only (no video), so no need to get out of your pajamas, either.

Q: What is the Blueboard?

A: The Blueboard is a secure online discussion board that you have access to as a member of SCBWI. Besides the new critique group (which will be limited to current Austin SCBWI members only), there are also critiques open to all SCBWI members and a wealth of helpful discussion boards to help you with everything from basic writing to navigating the publication process.

The online critique group is limited to current Austin SCBWI members. (See more information on the Critique Group page.) If you’re not a member, or your registration has lapsed, visit the registration page.
