Auction Item – Critique with Samantha M Clark

Thank you for bidding on an item in the 2020 Austin SCBWI Writers & Illustrators Working Conference Silent Auction! Read the item description below, then place your BID AMOUNT and YOUR NAME in the comments. You may bid as many times as you’d like. The highest bid recorded at 8pm CST on May 3 will win the item. Winners will be contacted during the following week. All proceeds from this Silent Auction will be donated to the SCBWI Emergency Fund, which assists members who are suffering a temporary hardship due to health issues, national emergencies or natural disasters. Bids will not be accepted until May 2. Any bid put into comments prior to May 2 will be deleted.

Please note: If you win a physical item, like a piece of artwork or signed books, they will either be mailed to you by the donor or you may pick them up at our monthly meetings after it’s safe to meet in person.

Item Description: Critique of 50 first pages of a middle-grade or young adult novel and a 2- to 3-page full outline. Notes will be given in the form of an editorial letter. Manuscript must be submitted by Dec. 31, 2020, and notes will be returned within two months.

Donated By: Samantha M Clark is the author of the middle-grade novels THE BOY, THE BOAT, AND THE BEAST (winner of the SCBWI 2019 Texas/Oklahoma Crystal Kite Award) and the forthcoming ARROW (both from Paul Wiseman Books/S&S).
