WHOOSH! LONNIE JOHNSON'S SUPER-SOAKING STREAM OF INVENTIONS by Chris Barton and illustrated by Don Tate was selected as a 2017 Cook Prize finalist. The Cook Prize honors the best STEM picture book published for children ages eight to ten.
The Cook Prize is awarded by the Bank Street Center for Children's Literature (CCL). CCL's mission is to create, identify, and advocate for the highest quality literature for all children from infancy through adolescence, to ensure that such literature is readily accessible to every child, and to foster in parents, educators, and policy makers a commitment to the principle that good literature is fundamental to literacy.
Results will be announced at the end of April. Congrats and good luck Chris and Don!
